CHARACTER
What makes Taj Mahal quartzite distinctive?
Its signature is a creamy white to warm beige background crossed by subtle gold, taupe and grey movement. Natural slabs often show crystalline depth when viewed from different angles. Color and veining vary by block, so the trade name describes a family of appearances rather than one exact pattern.
SELECTION
Natural or engineered?
Choose natural quartzite when individuality, depth and heat resistance lead the decision. Choose Taj Mahal-inspired engineered quartz when a controlled pattern, easier maintenance and a lower project cost are priorities. Neither is universally better; they solve different briefs.
CARE
How should the surface be maintained?
Clean both materials with a soft cloth, water and a pH-neutral cleaner. Natural quartzite may require sealing depending on the slab and fabricator's testing. Engineered quartz does not need sealing, but direct high heat should be avoided and trivets should be used.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
Useful questions before ordering.
Is Taj Mahal quartzite the same as quartz?
No. Quartzite is a natural metamorphic stone. Quartz countertops are manufactured from mineral aggregates, pigments and binders.
Can I approve slabs remotely?
Yes. Request full slab photos, close-up video, dimensions and lot information. Physical samples help with color, but cannot show the full movement of a natural slab.
Why do prices vary so much?
Color, clarity, pattern, slab size, thickness, finish, freight and local fabrication all affect the final cost. Natural premium lots generally cost more than engineered alternatives.
Can these products be used outdoors?
Natural quartzite can suit many exterior applications when correctly specified. Engineered quartz is generally intended for interiors because prolonged UV exposure may affect its appearance. Confirm the exact product specification.
